Required Documents for Student Visa Application

  • Acceptance Letter

    A Letter of Acceptance from your SPP educational institution in Canada confirming unconditional admission. This letter should include details such as the course title, study duration, level of study, start date (including multiple start dates, if applicable), and the latest possible date of admission.

  • Educational Credentials

    Photocopies of your most recent diploma or leaving certificate, along with the latest mark sheets for the entire program. Please note that consolidated mark sheets are not acceptable.

  • IELTS Test Scores

    Results from the IELTS test taken within the last 24 months. For Bachelor’s/Diploma/Certificate Courses, a score of 6/6.5 is required, while Post-graduate/Masters Courses require an overall score of 6.5 (with no individual band scores below 6).

  • Financial Proof

    A mandatory requirement is demonstrating the purchase of a special Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) from a participating Canadian financial institution, amounting to $10,000 CAD. This serves to cover living expenses for your initial year in Canada.

  • Medical Examination

    Submission of a copy of your medical examination results.

Employment Opportunities for Students in Canada

Working in Canada while enrolled as a student is feasible through Citizenship and Immigration Canada’s (CIC’s) designated work programs. Students may have the opportunity to work during their studies under the following classifications:
  1. On-campus employment without requiring a Work Permit

  2. Off-campus employment with a valid Work Permit

  3. Participation in Co-op and Internship Programs where work experience is an integral part of the curriculum, facilitated with a Work Permit
