Work Permits for Post-Graduates
Upon finishing studies in a designated post-secondary educational institution in an eligible program, international graduates have the option to apply for a Post-Graduation Work Permit, enabling them to work in Canada.
Eligibility Criteria for Post-Graduation Work Permits
For Post-Graduation Work Permits To qualify for a Post-Graduation Work Permit, the international student must satisfy the following criteria
- The student is required to have undertaken full-time studies in Canada, with a program duration of at least eight months.
- An application for the permit must be submitted within 90 days of receiving confirmation from their academic institution that they have fulfilled the requirements of their program.
- The student must have successfully completed the program of study and obtained written notification of eligibility for their degree, diploma, or certificate.
- A valid study permit is a prerequisite when applying for the work permit.
